Epipolar Lines in ELCOVISION 10

The epipolar line represents an important measuring aid in ELCOVISION 10. They help to target the the correct point within homogeneous objects . That can be clarified best with an example:

The lower picture shows an epipolar line by the tip of the right dormer. The epipolar line is the measurement beam showing the measurement of this point in another picture. The key thing is now: The point which we need to be measured must be somewhere on this line:

If we measure the tip of the dormer in another image then the representation of the epipolar line changes: Now additionally a "X" is drawn into the epipolar line:

The center of this "X" is now the target for the measurement. ELCOVISION 10 can also snap the magnifier window to this point. This function accelerates the fine adjusting of measuring points enormously.

ELCOVISION 10 offers this kind of measuring aid in all oriented pictures. Even during the orientation measurement process this aid is offered in order to simplify the orientation.
